Finding a balance between your reality and mental health is my goal.
Texan by birth but had the most personal growth in the Mid West. I received my B.A. in Psychology from Ball State University. In Indiana I learned how determined, driven and goal directed I am. Indiana aided in showing me how important helping others be the best person they can be is to me.
My interest in Sport Psychology lead me to Texas Tech to pursue my M.S. in Exercise and Sport Science. Lubbock, TX gave me the desire to work with athletes and performers who struggle with anxiety, motivation, depression, and burnout within their respective activity. I worked with volleyball, soccer, judo, racquetball, and water polo teams. Collaborating with teams and individuals at Texas Tech showed me that my next step is to learn more about mental health in the performance world.
The drive to help individuals working through mental health and performance difficulties lead me to Adler University in Chicago, IL. I obtained my M.A. in Counseling. From there while still working on Sport and Health Psychology emphasis, I gained an abundance of experience with adolescents and adults working through their recovery process of Depression, PTSD, Bipolar, Anxiety, and Grief. I was able to work with gymnasts, cheerleaders, track and field, soccer, basketball, and exercisers at the high school level. These experiences allowed me to explore my holistic and creative approach to therapy in both performance and general mental health.
After a year working with homeless individuals in Chicago, I decided to move back home to Texas. I am excited to have the opportunity to support you on the journey to a more peaceful and accepting place you are looking for. With the experience of working with mood and anxiety disorders aids in helping
